We get asked a lot of questions! Here are some of the most frequently asked questions and answers to hopefully help you with your wedding day photos. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
What is your Photography Style?
We are a good mix of traditional and photojournalistic. I love photojournalistic images, between all the big moments, the little hugs and tears are my favorite and capturing emotion make my heart so happy. But as wedding photographers we know that a lot of the day has to be posed, and we are happy to step in and direct and pose when it is needed. We love the artistic shots of our couples, and bringing out the beauty of the location, plus the joy of your happiest day of your life. When it all comes together, that's when the magic is made.
Will you help us with posing?
Absolutely! We don't want you to feel uncomfortable at all and we will help you to know exactly where to stand, place your hands, and move your faces so that you look your best. Sometimes the best angles and body language comes naturally, and that is always so nice when the chemistry between you two shines through, but many times a few tweaks are needed like a little foot movement or chin placement and we are always here for that. We have any prompts that will help you to pose and also not look stiff or unnatural in your photos.
Do you have backup equipment?
Because a wedding can't be rescheduled or redone, we always have backup on backup on backup. That means that we will never shoot a wedding with less than two photographers, and each photographer will never have less than two cameras on their body at a time. We have updated and very expensive equipment, but even the best equipment can have issues sometimes and we would never put your moments at risk to not be captured, especially during your ceremony. We are always careful to have backup and backup your images right away. We take the best care that we can of your memories.
What type of cameras and lenses do you use?
We use all Canon cameras and lenses. We have mirrorless cameras and many different types of lenses that allow us to shoot in low light, bright light, from very far away, and everything in between.
How many weddings have you photographed?
We have been photographing weddings for 20 years and collectively our studio has photographed hundreds of weddings. We have shot many different cultures, religions, in different countries, and pride ourselves in being able to adapt to every type of wedding and event we've had the pleasure of experiencing.
Can we request certain shots?
We always love to know what you like and are hoping for in your wedding photos and we make it a priority to try to get what you love. We can never replicate a shot exactly like you might see on our website or on Pinterest because some elements may differ such as background, sun placement, clouds, breeze, and more... but we always do our very best to capture what you request and go above and beyond to get the best photos at your location with the elements/weather we have to work with on your wedding day.
